Iris van Herpen

Hands down my favourite new designer is Iris van Herpen. I almost can't express how much I LOVE her work. Styled by my friend Yasu Takehisa - www.yasuhirotakehisa.com

Parties

After a tough day of shows, your faithful correspondent headed into the night to cover the LFW party scene (purely for journalistic purposes of course!). Volt Magazine - one of my favourite mags to shoot for - had done a collaboration with Swarovski and young London designers Dean Quinn, Hannah Marshall, Craig Lawrence, Gemma Slack, Manjit Deu and set designer extraordinaire Fred Butler. Each redesigned a Volt cover using Swarovski crystals and you can see the results above. The event was also held in conjunction with FTape.com, a brilliant new creative listings site, which also kindly did a great feature on my work - thanks guys!
Afterwards we headed over to Liberty's where new publication Glass had their launch party. Issue 1 features a stunning cover of Maggie Cheung, and their online magazine (www.theglassmagazine.com) has loads of interesting articles and will be uploading short films every month.
Then on to the Lina Osterman x Metal Magazine party. Live performance here by brilliant band Rodeo Massacre - check them out on www.myspace.com/rodeomassacre (by the way the two hot blondes above are the band's stunning frontwoman & Lina). Lots of fun, and this is the first time I've seen a party with no free drinks rock on until the small hours of the morning.

Charlie Le Mindu

Charlie Le Mindu Show @ On|Off from On|Off TV on Vimeo.

Charlie le Mindu's collections are always lots of fun. I'm not a fan of fur so could have done without those pieces - but as for the rest of the collection, I'm really looking forward to shooting it this season!

Vauxhall Fashion Scout - The Ones to Watch

Vauxhall Fashion Scout does a showcase for 'The Ones to Watch', their pick of designers of the future. It can be a mixed bag but there will usually always be at least one designer that catches the eye (last season I loved Marko Mitanovski, who will be doing a presentation on the 23d).

This season proceedings kicked off with a so-so collection by David Longshaw (nice boots). Followed by some lovely fleshtoned body con dresses by ASKH. And finally my favourite, Florencia Kozuch, who showed a strong character, great silhouettes, knitwear, accessories (metallic) and also some tongue-in-cheek with wide-brim hats and pom-pom shoes. The full package.

Gemma Slack A/W 2010

London Fashion Week is upon us once again. This season I'll only be going to a few shows, as I'm most interested in what the young designers are doing. If you want to follow the likes of Aquascutum and Burberry you can tune in to Style.com. However for updates on the freshest talent off the London block, look no further!

First up is designer Gemma Slack, whose dark and sexy vision I love. The collection was in collaboration with jewellery designer Katie Rowland and every piece was completely covetable. During the presentation there was also a screening of a fashion film, which Gemma shot with über-talented filmmaker Stephen Bell (www.stephenjbell.co.uk). Stay tuned for that one, I will upload it here soon.
